You sure can! However, please be mindful of what you buy as it may set a precedent for future gifts the child or others may expect with each visit.
The biggest NO-NO is lollies or sweets as these damage the children’s teeth. The water in Bali does not have the additives we find in our water meaning the children’s teeth are not hardened and this will obviously cause issues when visiting the dentist!
Colouring books, pencils, texters, picture books, craft supplies… a tennis ball even. These make for great gifts that the kids can enjoy on their own or share with family and friends. Clothes are also a bonus and can be new or good quality second hand.
Also consider a little something for the teachers or the school, again this benefits not only your supported child but their classmates and the overall school community.
